Jill gave a presentation about the Career Development Office at Bryn Mawr. Be sure to check out the CDO website (http://www.haverford.edu/cdo/) for more info and to play around with the resources there. OIG has a library at the CDO and students are welcome to check out books for a day or weekend.
Nathalie presented three cheaper growth stocks (GSI, ARM and EROC) which we are hoping to hold for a week or two to “ride” the rise in the market and make some quick cash. After a discussion, we voted to purchase approximately $1000 of EROC, which we will sell either next week or the week after if we’ve made money or will hold onto if we haven’t. Our portfolio has been doing well, and we’re outperforming the S&P 500. We have recovered much of our recession losses and are nearing the $100,000 mark.
Next week we will watch a documentary (TBD).
